School for Children of the world India - a NGO providing vocational training in Catering, Fashion Crafts, English and Computer to underprivileged young adults. The building makes use of traditional courtyard typology in combination with green roofs and hollow clay blocks to provide best possible climate control at very reasonable building cost. Ample natural ventilation and lighting, and deep verandas make a very livable school not only in the classroom but also in the precious informal courtyard space.

Mancini has been commissioned by the Embassy of France to India to restore and extend the listed heritage Structure in Pondichery, South India. Besides general renovation and improvement to classroom acoustics new laboratories have been added.A multipurpose hall seating 100 has been designed as an contemporary addition to the magnificent French colonial building complex.

An orientation and interpretation center for a recently restored urban wetland in Chennai this design proposes to house reception, exhibition, admin, café and backend infrastructure. Forming at the same time the entrance to the adjacent eco-park the proposal provides the necessary visibility to the project in the urban context as well as magnificent views over the wetland.

A small Guesthouse serving an educational Campus in South India.The proposal envisions Faculty and Guests enjoying the common lounge connected to a terrace and garden (as well as a future courtyard formed by further dwellings for professors and staff). A sense of arrival from the north-east while the west facing rooms are shaded by large overhangs thus enabling views over the entire campus.
